Star Wars Addict

OK...I understand that admitting you have a problem is the first step is curing the problem. Well I admit I am addicted to star wars. I have all the movies, multiple versions on DVD and VHS, I have to be reading a star wars book at night or I can't sleep right, and I have bought every type of game system so I can play the star wars games on that platform. It however is an addiction I don't want to cure. All that said, star wars galaxies is the second worst RPG I have ever played. Even the new expansion pack did not make it truly playable.

Microsoft Robositter

I read a slashdot this morning about this, and just had to blog on it. Apparently, Microsoft is testing out a robot technology that will allow robots to baby sit your kids for you.While I can see some benefit to this, such as being able to do chores around your house without worrying that your children are breaking anything or putting them selves in danger, but <tongueincheek>isn't that what TV is for?</tongueincheek>

Not so Pretty in pink...

This is a story that has been around for a while, but I just read it...

The Arizona sheriff who makes inmates wear pink boxer shorts and sleep on pink bed sheets has introduced a new item in his girlish inventory: fluorescent pink handcuffs. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's deputies will place the new pink cuffs on inmates during transport. The controversial Arpaio--who never misses a chance to degrade prisoners--claims that he actually ordered 1000 sets of the pink restraints as part of an inventory control plan. Since his department's standard silver handcuffs were frequently getting pinched by Maricopa deputies and other cops, Arpaio reasoned, pink ones would be easier for him to track.
